Interprofessional Oral Health Faculty Toolkit  (2019)

The Interprofessional Oral Health Faculty Tool Kit is based on the IPEC Competencies, the NONPF Core Competencies and the HRSA interprofessional oral health core competencies delineated in the Integration of Oral Health and Primary Care Practice report (2014). Developed by the OHNEP program, the Tool Kit is an innovative, web-based, open source product intended to facilitate the integration of oral-systemic health content and clinical competencies into nurse practitioner and midwifery curricula.

Patient-Centered Transgender Health Toolkit (2018)

The Patient-Centered Transgender Health Toolkit close the gap in knowledge of NP faculty and practicing clinicians by providing faculty, students and clinical NPs with evidence-based information on caring for transgender populations. Resources, vetted by practicing clinicians in the field of transgender care who are also nurse practitioner faculty, are provided in the toolkit.

The Interprofessional Care for People with Multiple Chronic Condition (2017)

(IPCMCC) modules will prepare students to work in interprofessional teams to foster self-management by patients with multiple chronic conditions through the application of proven coaching strategies.

The ICPMCC materials focus on working within an interprofessional collaborative practice in outpatient settings, with an emphasis on coaching to enhance patient engagement and improve patient self-management skills. All learning materials stress the importance of patient and family-centered care and the role of the community in supporting health.

Clinical Prevention and Population Health Curriculum Framework (2015)

The third version of the document was released in 2015. NONPF is a member of the HPCTF.

Sample Clinical Assessment Tool (2014)

Consultant Nancy Winslade of McGill University worked with NONPF to develop this sample clinical assessment tool to use for NP students. Faculty may adapt the tool as they see fit. The intent is for the student to have 7-11 assessments per course using the same tool.

NONPF Sample Case Study Form (.docx)

NONPF developed this sample case study form, in consultation with representatives of Laerdal, to provide faculty with a guide for how to set up a case study that might be used in a simulation (high or low fidelity).

International Experiences Guidelines (.docx)

These Guidelines were developed by the NONPF Global Advancement Committee members and are designed to provide faculty in nursing programs criteria with which to develop, implement, and evaluate international learning experiences.

Assessment of Readiness for International Experiences and Sustainability (2009)

The NONPF International Special Interest Group (SIG) developed this tool to help educational programs to determine the stage of readiness of their faculty and students to engage in an international educational experience. As well, the tool helps a program to evaluate if sufficient support exists to sustain the activity.
