Purpose

In this session, participants will learn about methods used in the onboarding process for new faculty members. Content will consist of materials, resources, and activities to use in order to successfully integrate expert nurse practitioners into their new roles and responsibilities in academia, including teaching, scholarship, and service.

Purpose: This session will provide an overview of the administrative requirements related to the use of preceptors and clinical agencies in the education of nurse practitioners. Systems to track clinical site information and compliance with their requirements will be discussed. Models of academic – practice partnerships and preceptor retention will also be presented.
