In this session, participants will learn about methods used in the onboarding process for new faculty members. Content will consist of materials, resources, and activities to use in order to successfully integrate expert nurse practitioners into their new roles and responsibilities in academia, including teaching, scholarship, and service.



  1. Identify faculty responsibilities related to teaching and curriculum
  2. Explore ways that scholarly products can be generated from teaching and practice
  3. Discuss academic service and its relationship to faculty governance and professional leadership
