"Distance Education for the NP Learner”

Many nurse practitioner (NP) educational programs incorporate some level of distance education options, ranging from an entire program to elements within a course.  Advances in technology facilitate distance education, and the different platforms and formats for distance education vary widely across programs.  Nevertheless, NP educators face common issues for planning and successful use of distance education for the NP learner.

A distinguished panel of NP educators will use this Webinar session to discuss several important aspects of NP distance education:

I.                    Planning for distance education – How to use the NONPF Guidelines for Distance Education and Enhanced   Technologies in Nurse Practitioner Programs and the role of the Criteria for Evaluation of Nurse Practitioner Programs.
II.                  Creative teaching strategies – Identifying creative strategies in distance education to promote evidence-based practice decisions by the NP learner
III.                Evaluation/Assessment – How to assess and evaluate online learning
