Models of Practice:
Opportunities for Developing Community Health Leaders

The third and final conference in the Teleweb Series discussed various models for
community-based care and recognized the opportunities for leadership development for NPs
in community health. The discussion encompassed a variety of practice models,
including academic nursing centers and nurse-managed centers. Speakers also
addressed some of the financial issues of a practice and methods of leadership development
in a multidisciplinary environment.
