Teleweb Series in Community Health, Part 1
Population Focus in the NP Role:
Fiction or Reality?
November 2, 2001
In the first of a series of three conferences focused on integrating community health
content into NP curriculum, NONPF offered this Teleweb on population focus in the NP role.
The speakers provided an overview of the scope of population-focused care on the NP role
and the leadership role of the NP in community health.
A special feature of the Teleweb conference was the presentation and discussion of a
case study to demonstrate the benefits of incorporating community health content into
direct NP care. Use this case study in your program, as well as an additional case study
in the handout material.
