NONPF PROMOTES QUALITY HEALTHCARE THROUGH EDUCATION:
Clinical Decision Making Monograph Now Available
Washington, DC---In response to the needs of nursing educators, the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) has recently captured in a single publication the array of strategies to preparing graduates for advanced practice roles. This monograph, entitled Teaching Clinical Decision Making in Advanced Nursing Practice, is a compilation of papers prepared by faculty in nurse practitioner educational programs and is another new product of the NONPF Education Committee.
M. Katherine Crabtree, DNSc, ANP, Editor and chairperson of the NONPF Education Committee, describes the monograph as “characterizing a diversity of approaches to teaching by nurse practitioner educators from programs across the country.” The peer-reviewed articles are presented in chapters divided into three primary sections: Conceptualizations of decision making, methods for teaching decision making, and self-reflection and ethics of clinical decision making.

The National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing leadership in promoting quality nurse practitioner education.
