Scenes from the NONPF 30th Annual Meeting |
|
| Over
430 nurse practitioner educators from the United States, Canada, and Europe convened in
San Diego to discuss innovations and current issues influencing NP education. For
those attendees who arrived early and may have not attended all of the preconference
seminars on pharmacology topics, STD management, and building successful academic clinical
enterprises, San Diego offered beautiful weather and many attractions for exploring.
Panel discussions during plenary sessions helped attendees to bridge issues facing educators during the first meeting held in 1974 with the issues of today and tomorrow. Other general general sessions provided critical updates on health promotion and on NP certification and regulation. L-R: Joan Lynaugh, Darlene Jelinek, Joellen Hawkins, and Ann O'Sullivan discuss The Power of the Past in the opening plenary session. The introduction of the Outstanding Poster Award gave added recognition to the many exceptional poster presentations on display Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
As always, the NONPF meeting provided time for relaxation and networking. The Local Arrangements Committee helped plan the fun activities.
Of course, no annual meeting is complete now without the traditional Fun Run/Walk. NONPF attendees gathered at 6:00 AM for a healthy walk or run along the Gaslamp Quarter and by the San Diego Bay.
By Saturday evening, after a long day of sessions, meeting attendees were ready to unwind! Visit the Saturday dinner page for additional scenes from the San Diego Maritime Museum. Don't miss the dance scenes! |
