I am currently an Associate Professor and teach in our graduate, doctoral and acute care nurse practitioner program.  I have served as a consultant for nurse practitioner programs in the areas of curriculum development and outcomes evaluation.    I am also currently a viewer for The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.  My area of practice and research focuses on the acute care nurse practitioner role.  I am currently completing a 5-year survey which is examining ACNP practice and role development.  As the chair of the Acute Care Special Interest Group of NONPF, I am spearheading the developing of specialty competencies of ACNP practice.
