NONPF October Webinar
Criteria for Evaluation of Nurse Practitioner Programs:
The 4th Edition
The Archived Session
The multi-organizational National Task Force (NTF) on Quality Nurse Practitioner Programs completed its periodic review and updating of the Criteria for Evaluation of Nurse Practitioner Programs in summer 2012. This document is nationally recognized as including the standards for all nurse practitioner (NP) educational programs and has been endorsed by 15 nursing groups, including the nursing accrediting organizations. All program directors and faculty in NP programs should keep abreast of the changes in the evaluation criteria to ensure congruency between their programs and national standards.
The two NTF co-facilitators, Drs. Pat Clinton and Jean Johnson, will be joined by the NONPF representative to the NTF, Dr. Shirlee Drayton-Brooks, in providing an overview of the changes in the evaluation criteria between the current (2012) and last (2008) editions. The speakers will highlight notable changes, particularly within elaborations of the criteria, and discuss their implications for NP programs. Participants in the Webinar will have ample opportunity to submit questions to the speakers for clarification of any of the evaluation criteria.
NONPF President, Dr. Debra Barksdale, will provide an introduction and moderate the session.
